Estonian illustrator and graphic novelist Joonas Sildre<\/a> has received the Gold Award in the Graphic Novel\/Manga category at the 2024 PubWest Book Design Awards for his acclaimed work Between Two Sounds: Arvo P\u00e4rt`s Journey to His Musical Language <\/em>(Plough Publishing House).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The graphic novel, which delves into the early life and artistic journey of world-renowned Estonian composer Arvo P\u00e4rt<\/strong>, has been widely praised for its unique visual storytelling and meticulous design. Originally published in Estonian in 2018, Between Two Sounds<\/em> has since been translated into multiple languages, including English in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PubWest Book Design Awards<\/strong> celebrate outstanding book design and production in North America, recognizing publishers, designers, and illustrators who push creative and technical boundaries.
