Estonian Children’s Literature Centre awaits Museum Night on May 18 to search for freedom. Our house is open from 18:00 to 23:00, the library is also open, where you can borrow books. The entrance fee for Museum Night is 1 euro, free for children under 3 years old.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adventure seekers will embark on a scavenger hunt<\/strong> where children can challenge themselves by solving puzzles<\/strong>. The attic will host a caf\u00e9 <\/strong>and a play corner<\/strong> for children, as well as a relaxation area for parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 18:30<\/strong>, we invite the little ones to the Treasure Chamber for a toddler session<\/strong>. Children aged 2\u20134 are welcome to listen to a story, play, and craft together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 18:00 to 22:00<\/strong>, our Book Doctors<\/strong> will provide personalized consultations. You can find them in Edgar Valter’s Gallery<\/strong>. The Book Doctors will give reading recommendations to all interested parties. Advice is available for parents of toddlers taking their first steps in reading, serious fans of fantasy literature, and grandparents who want to infect children with a love of books \u2013 all concerns will receive a cheerful solution!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 18:00 to 20:00<\/strong>, you can craft in the attic<\/strong> and challenge yourself in giant floor games<\/strong> in the balcony hall, where there is plenty of activity for both word game masters and fans of the board game “Circus”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 20:00<\/strong>, Lotte<\/strong> will come to visit, and together you can invent, play, and sing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 21:30<\/strong>, we open the “Free Stage of Childhood Favorite Stories”<\/strong> in the second-floor hall, where anyone can take the stage. Read an excerpt from your favorite book and share with the audience why this story has remained with you throughout your life. *To perform on the free stage, please email katrin@elk.ee<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXHIBITIONS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Illustration Gallery, you can explore the exhibition “Reflections”<\/strong>. The exhibition is a collaboration between two countries, where 15 Estonian artists illustrate Spanish fairy tales and 10 Spanish artists, in turn, illustrate Estonian fairy tales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once a year, on a Saturday evening in May, museums and other memory institutions open their doors later than usual, at a symbolic price or even for free, to celebrate the European Night of Museums. The Estonian Museum Association has been organizing the Night of Museums since 2009. It was also the first time the Night of Museums was held nationwide. The Museum Association has organized the Night of Museums 14 times already.
