In 2023, the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre, in collaboration with the <\/a>Narva Art Residency<\/a>, launched a children’s literature residency with the aim of enriching our children’s literature. To this end, an annual competition is held to select two authors who, with the support of a scholarship, can reside at the Narva Art Residency for a specified period and work on their creations. The total scholarship fund is \u20ac4,000, with \u20ac2,000 allocated per person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the children’s literature residency, authors create a manuscript and\/or illustrations for a book inspired by local cultural heritage, people, history, etc. Writers and illustrators from both Estonia and abroad, working either individually or as creative duos, are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
